Cincinnati Bengals: Did they finally add enough, defensively?

As many of us know, in recent years, the Cincinnati Bengals have certainly been thought of as 'All Offense, No Defense'... luckily for the Bengals and their faithful fans, the organization finally worked hard to address their defensive deficiencies this Offseason... but... did they do enough? Obviously DT Dexter Lawrence was the 'big name' add, I just don't think he's the player he was, pre-serious injury... the good news is, even if Sexy Dexy isn't as good as he once was, the Bengals overall will stuff the run better with him and Boye Mafe, who is one of the better Edges against the run... Jonathan Allen is washed, didn't like that pickup... Safety Bryan Cook was a big one in the secondary, good get... Cashius Howell and Tacario Davis bring youthful excitement from the draft class... overall, a strong front office effort by Cincy. 

 

Jacksonville Jaguars: Did they do enough to improve this Offseason?

 

I absolutely love what the Jacksonville Jaguars accomplished last season, under the new regime of head coach Liam Coen and young General Manager James Gladstone... but... did they drink their own Kool-Aid a little too much this Offseason? The Jaguars draft was MURDERED for being 'too experimental' but honestly my bigger concerns are the losses of Running Back Travis Etienne and Linebacker Devin Lloyd... if you asked me, who were the 3 most valuable players on the Jags last season? I would have said Etienne, Lloyd and Trevor Lawrence in no particular order... so they lost 2 of their 3 most valuable contributors... and not much at all was done to replace them... lot of pressure on Coen, OC Grant Udinski and DC Anthony Campanile to carry the team this season. 

Detroit Lions: Can they bounce back after a tough year?

 

After a disappointing 2025 NFL campaign, the enigmatic Detroit Lions led the way in ESPN's rankings, with the most players in Jeremy Fowler's Top 10 lists (per executives, coaches and scouts)... so can Dan Campbell's boys bounce back this season? Of course they can, as the Bears have lost key defensive playmakers in Kevin Byard, Tremaine Edmunds and Nahshon Wright (the guys creating all their turnovers)... Vikings QB situation is still shaky, Kyler is better than JJ, but he's still not a world-beater... and the Packers are dealing with Micah Parsons' injury and Josh Jacobs' legal situation... relatively easy path to a potential bounce-back for the Lions. 

Seattle Seahawks: Who is the sleeper in their backfield?

 

After a strong Playoff run concluding in a much-deserved Super Bowl MVP award, talented running back Kenneth Walker took The Bag and left the Seahawks for the Chiefs... with that in mind, we now have a battle in Seattle's backfield... Rookie Jadarian Price is the obvious one, as the Seahawks basically told him in advance that he would be their pick... they had handpicked Price from a mile away... we also have the veteran Emanuel Wilson, but he can be a bit of a plodder... remember, Zach Charbonnet will be out a nice chunk of time after injury... so that leaves the sleeper, undrafted free agent George Holani, whom scouts tell me is shifty and ferocious... this kid is hungry for touches and opportunities, so let's see what head coach Mike Macdonald gives him via new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury. 

New Orleans Saints: Alvin Kamara's Restructured Deal

 

The New Orleans Saints and franchise legend Running Back Alvin Kamara have agreed on terms of a restructured deal that will pay him $6,000,000 for 2026, with the opportunity to make up to $8,500,000 with incentives... behind the scenes, I've heard that Kamara had absolutely no interest in being traded away... the Saints added Travis Etienne in free agency, and they also have Kendre Miller and Devin Neal at running back... they were certainly willing to trade Kamara away, but I'm told he wasn't making it particularly easy for the organization... instead, they restructure to keep everybody happy, including their loyal fans, longtime Kamara supporters.
